1. I received a notice that it is open enrollment for my benefits. Do I have to do anything?
If you are currently enrolled in benefits, we recommend you log in into ADP (www.workforcenow.adp.com) from a computer and navigate to Myself > Benefits > Enrollments > Open Enrollment and click on Start Enrollment to select your medical, dental and vision plans for 2025. Please note, if you need to make any changes to your medical, dental or vision enrollments, or if you are choosing a High Deductible plan and are interested in enrolling in our new benefit, the pre-tax HSA (Health Savings Account) you will need to sign in and enroll in this yourself.
If you are NOT currently enrolled in benefits and do not want to enroll for 2025 then you do not need to take any action. If you do want to enroll for 2025, then log in into ADP (www.workforcenow.adp.com) from a computer and navigate to Myself > Benefits > Enrollments > Open Enrollment and click on Start Enrollment and select the plans you want to enroll in.
2. When is open enrollment? How long do I have to enroll in my benefits for 2025?
Open enrollment is from October 30, 2024 to November 12, 2024. During open enrollment you can enroll or make changes to your medical, dental, and vision insurance for 2025. You also can enroll in the HSA plan if you choose the High Deductible health insurance plan. After November 12, 2024 you will no longer be able to make changes to your benefit plans for 2025 without a QLE.
NOTE: Extensions are not considered a QLE.

3. When are the new plans going to be in effect?
Coverage through Anthem is effective January 1, 2025.
4. I just want to stay with the same doctors. Do I need to do anything? Are my doctors covered under these new plans?
You can verify whether your personal providers accept this coverage by clicking on “Basic search as guest” using this link: Find Care

5. The plan is listed as BCBS CA. Is coverage only available in California?
BCBS CA is the official plan name, however, coverage is nationwide. You can use the Find - Care tool (LINK) to confirm your local health care providers are covered.
6. What are the costs for 2025?

7. Will I be getting new cards?
New Cards will be issued closer to the effective date of coverage, January 1, 2025. More information on how to access your id number and benefits through Anthem will be provided after enrollment.
8. I have a doctor appointment in December. What should I do?
If you are currently enrolled in a plan through Anthem, you will use that coverage through December 31, 2024.
9. Are there any new benefits we are getting this year?
Even if you do not enroll in a health insurance plan through Anthem, you will have access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). If you enroll in any health plan through Anthem, you will also gain access to additional discounts and services. Here is a LINK for more information.
10. When I log in to ADP, I see a New Hire and Open Enrollment task. Which one should I enroll in?
For coverage for the remainder of 2024 submit enrollment in your New Hire first. For coverage beginning January 1, 2025, submit another enrollment for Open Enrollment after your 2024 enrollments.
11. I want the same/similar plan for next year. Which Anthem plan should I enroll in?

13. How long will it take for me to get my cards?
If you are enrolling in Anthem coverage for 2024 you should receive your cards in 7 to 10 business days. If you are enrolling in Anthem coverage for 2025 we expect cards to be sent in late December.
