Your Compliance Coordinator reviews all documents you upload to your Onboarding Checklist. If a document does not meet the facility’s requirements, it will be rejected. The reason for the rejection will be noted in red within your Checklist so you can quickly identify and resolve the issue.
Once you upload a corrected document, the task will turn yellow, indicating the item is pending review again.
What are the common reasons a certification will get rejected?
1. Issuer
Most facilities only accept American Heart Association (AHA) certifications for:
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
If your NIHSS is not from the AHA, please click here to complete the AHA NIHSS course for $10.
If your certification is from AHA but was completed through RQI, make sure it is current and renewed every 3 months at an RQI machine (if required).
Use this AHA RQI verification link to retrieve and upload your E-card or wallet card.
2. Card Type
Facilities typically require the full-page E-card rather than a wallet-sized card.
If you only have the wallet card, you can retrieve your full-page E-card using this lookup tool.
3. Expiration
Your certification must be valid through your start date.
If your certification expires within 30 days of your start, please make sure you are already enrolled in a renewal course. The facility will not approve your file without an active certification.
