What should I do if I'm injured at work?

If you experience a work-related injury, please ensure you take any necessary and timely action to ensure you receive the care you need. Please maintain receipts for the care you receive as it will be eligible for reimbursement.

When possible, please notify your manager or supervisor as soon as possible so that they're able to file a report internally.

In addition, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can provide the steps to file a claim, ensure you're able to get the follow-up care you need, and that you are properly reimbursed.

  • If it is not urgent (i.e. needlestick that occurred, no active injury and proper steps have been taken) please reach out to your Care Team by sending a new message through Inbox.

  • If you need immediate assistance, please call and choose the Emergency Line option to get connected to our on call clinician.

You will need to submit the workers comp claim within 24 hours!

What is workers compensation (or workers comp) insurance?

Workers compensation is insurance that is paid by the company for personal injury or death by accidents arising out of and in the course and scope of employment. Worker’s compensation provides limited benefits to injured workers in the form of medical treatment, compensation for lost wages, and compensation for the loss or loss of use of parts of the body. If an employee dies in a workplace accident, the employee’s dependents may become eligible to collect death benefits.

Who is Trusted’s workers comp broker?

We have partnered with Travelers to handle our workers compensation claims.

What are the next steps after reporting my injury?

We will review the incident and will be in touch regarding next steps, any additional information needed, and to provide all resources available to you!

Should I report an injury even though I feel fine?

Yes! Even if you are not seeking medical care, reporting the incident allows us to track the information and determine if there are any trends that we can address.

Where can I go for medical care?

For your initial visit, you can go anywhere! For any follow-up visits for a workers compensation related injury, you will work with your Travelers adjuster to determine in-network facilities in your state.

If I seek medical care, should I report my medical restrictions to Trusted?

Yes! It is your responsibility to inform Trusted of your medical restrictions and release to full-duty, which includes any supporting documentation. Your should also inform Trusted of missed shifts or any shifts you anticipate to miss due to your medical restrictions.

What do I do if I get a bill for an injury that is covered by workers comp Insurance?

If your injury has resulted in a workers compensation claim, our broker Travelers will be in touch to guide you through the process! If you receive a bill, please send that bill to the Travelers adjuster that you have been working with and they will take care of it.
