You are entitled to 10 minute rest breaks according to the table below (where “x” represents the number of hours in your workday).
Number of Hours | Rest Break Guidelines |
3.5 < x ≤ 6 | Entitled to one 10 min rest break |
6 < x ≤ 10 | Entitled to two 10 min rest breaks |
10 < x ≤ 14 | Entitled to three 10 min rest breaks |
Although rest breaks must be off-duty, they are counted within your hours worked for that day.
