How do I request time off?

When you apply to a Match, we'll ask you for any special requests or time-off requests associated with the timeline of the position.

Select Yes under the time-off section and use the calendar to enter your time-off requests.

Keep in mind that some facilities have a maximum amount of days they allow clinicians to request off. If this is the case, you will see it listed under the contract details on the Match detail page.

You cannot adjust or change your time-off requests after you apply to the Match. These requests should be for time off that is not flexible and would prevent you from accepting an offer. The facility can reject your application if the requested time off is too many days total, spans for too long of a period, or is during holidays! These are just requests and it is ultimately up to the hiring manager to decide!

There are two things to keep in mind regarding time off and compensation:

  1. This time-off is unpaid 

  2. Since stipends are tied to your days worked, you will not receive a stipend for any contracted shifts that aren’t worked - including any approved time off.
