There are two key ways to increase your chances of securing an interview and make your application stand out above the rest when submitting to a job at Trusted Health:

1. Speed - being one of the first to apply (check out Job Alerts & Auto-Apply)
2. Highlighting your unique experience - adding bullet points to each Work Experience to showcase extra details! A more robust Work Experience will help you stand out!

The first section of this article will use examples to show you how to use the Details section of each Work Experience to highlight any additional experience outside your typical unit or job duties that are not captured in the available fields (screenshots included!).

The second section will highlight specific suggestions for each Allied role, based on feedback from hiring managers, to make your experience shine!

🔑 Key Point: the more information your profile includes, the more accurately we can present your application to facility hiring managers.

What are some common examples of scenarios where I should add additional details?

Frequent Floating
Let's say you previously worked at a facility and were hired onto Unit A, but during your time there, you frequently floated to work on another unit (which we'll call "Unit B"). On your profile, your work experience will only show that you worked on Unit A, so that's all that the hiring manager would see when reviewing your application. By adding a bullet point to the Details section of that Work Experience, you can also highlight that while your primary work was on Unit A, you also have great experience working Unit B as well, making you a stronger candidate! Consider adding a bullet point like: "Floated to Unit B for 12 Hours each week."

Specialized Skills

If you were working in the Operating Room and had high-frequency experience with certain types of surgeries - say, Gastrointestinal (GI) surgeries. Without adding additional Details or bullet points, your profile's Work Experience would only show that you worked OR, but wouldn't include many other details that would help you stand out. Consider adding a bullet like: "Specialized in Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgeries."

Or let's say you gained experience working with advanced robotics, specialty equipment not typically available to most clinicians on your unit, or you spent a significant amount of time working with a higher-acuity patient population... that would certainly be something worth adding to your Work Experience details! Consider adding a bullet point like: "Experience with Case Picking" or "Experience with robotics."

Professional Development Opportunities

Some clinicians go above and beyond their typical duties and join facility resource groups, a fellowship program, an employee council, or something else. During your time at that facility, did you volunteer for extra-curricular opportunities, show initiative through development opportunities, or contribute to the facility community in any particular way? Adding these details can show hiring managers you take initiative and have a willingness to pitch in and engage - and who doesn't love engaged co-workers!? Consider adding a bullet like: "Served on clinical oversight council."

📣 Pro tip! Sometimes hiring managers require or prefer specific clinical experience, and often let us know ahead of time! On the Match detail page, scroll down to the additional info section. If your experience aligns with their additional requirements and it is not already captured in your work experience, then this would be a great time to use the bullet points to add it in additional descriptions.

How do I add bullet points to my work experience?

You can add bullet points to your work history when you first add in the entry or you can add them to an existing entry.

To update an existing work experience entry, head to your Trusted profile and navigate to your work history.

Click the pencil icon to edit the entry of interest.

Scroll down to the description section and add your bullet points.

❗ Be sure to press enter or return on your keyboard after each bullet point entry so they will save!

Save your bullet points by clicking Update in the top right corner. If you'd like to delete a bullet point, simply click on the Delete (trash) button when you're editing your bullet points.

Check your profile to make sure they saved!
