The Trusted platform is all about autonomy. Keeping these things in mind will allow you to take control of your Job Search and land your next assignment!

What is different about a Job Search with Trusted?

Our clinicians have access and visibility into every job we have at Trusted. The best way to find the job you’re looking for will always be to browse matches and ensure that your filters are up-to-date and accurate. If the status of a job you applied to changes, it will be reflected in your Applications tab. Your Nurse Advocate and Care Team are available to offer guidance and support in your Job Search.

What are the requirements to apply for a Match?

Every job has different requirements for experience, certifications, licensing, and application items. You can view a job's specific requirements under the requirements section on the Match detail page.

As well as any additional requirements under the additional information section on the Match detail page.

If you do not meet these requirements, your request will be denied, which can make for a very frustrating job search. The best way to avoid this is to ensure that you are looking into jobs that match your experience and carefully read the job description.

How committed should I be when applying?

Only apply to Matches you would accept an offer for. Facilities are looking to fill their positions fast and expect candidates to take job requests seriously. Declining offers that are true to the job posting (or failing to respond to an offer within approximately 24 hours) can damage your relationship with facilities and Trusted. We can always make special requests, such as a different shift or contract length, but you should avoid applying if you would decline the job if these are not honored.

I've applied to a Match, what's next?

It can take up to about 2 weeks to hear back on an application! Once you apply to a Match, your profile and application will be reviewed and submitted. If a facility is interested, they will either reach out to you directly or Trusted to set up an interview or make an offer in the case of auto-offer positions. You will always be notified if we have any updates. The longer an application goes without an update from the facility, the less viable it becomes.

How do I ensure I have a smooth submission without any delays?

Uploading certifications, identification, and health documents can help ensure timely submission. When a facility is requiring more documentation, we have to reach out to you to get it before moving forward and submitting your application. Proactively uploading common requirements can prevent this delay. Some of these include:

  • BLS and other common certifications for your specialty

  • A copy of your drivers license (front and back)

  • Proof of your COVID and flu vaccine (including your booster) or a medical or religious declination form

How far out should I anticipate my start date to be?

Start dates are typically 3-4 weeks out. A start date is an agreement we come to based on the time it takes to complete all your onboarding tasks, the requirements of vendors, and the needs of the hospital. Expected start dates on Matches may not always account for all these factors or they may become inaccurate as a job listing ages, so keep in mind that these are subject to change. Timing your submissions appropriately will help you avoid rejections or gaps in employment.

How can I get a job faster?

Broadening your search by updating your Match filters and applying to multiple positions can help you secure an assignment faster. The market for local or travel contracts can be competitive and fast-moving. Applying to at least 3-5 (but no more than 10) jobs you would accept can help you land a job sooner.

Does Trusted have opportunities for both travel and local assignments?

Yes! Local contracts are available through Trusted on a case-by-case basis. Some facilities do not allow for local applicants and have a radius rule. To see if a Match has a mileage requirement, view the contract details section of the Match detail page. Here you'll see if there is a radius rule.

They also determine the pay and conditions of a local contract. This means we don’t typically have an exact pay package until we receive an offer. Local contracts do not include a tax-free stipend or guaranteed hours.

I need time off or have special requests, can I negotiate this later?

Always include your time off and special requests when applying to a Match. Attempting to negotiate these after an offer has been made is often prohibited by the facility. It can also jeopardize your contract if it prevents us from accepting it in a timely manner. Keep in mind that start dates can be several weeks out and it is better to list all the dates you will need, even if they seem far in the future. Facilities may limit the number of days you can request off, but you can always try working with your managers after arriving at your job site.
