After you submit a reference request, it will appear on your profile with the status of pending
until it is filled out and completed by your reference.
If your reference states that they did not receive the email or text message, follow these tips below:
Confirm you have entered their correct contact information.
If you are sending it via email, ensure their email provide accepts outside emails. Since the request is coming from Trusted, their email provider could be set up to block outside emails. We usually see this if it is their work email and the facility they work at does not allow outside emails to be sent or received.
Remind the reference, by resending the reference request. It is not uncommon that the email or text was missed or accidentally deleted. To resend a reference request, head to your profile and navigate to the reference section. Locate the reference request you would like to resend and click
remind reference
. This option is only available 48 hours after you send the original reference request.
