What do I do if I am sick or injured outside of work?

First and foremost, we’re sending our well wishes and hope you’re feeling better soon!

If you are sick or have sustained an injury outside of work, please notify your manager, charge nurse, or unit director as soon as possible.

  • We’d also appreciate if you let your Advocate know too

  • If you miss all or part of a shift due to illness or injury, you can record the missed time on the attached paper timecard. Simply log the hours you missed and write the total hours along with "sick" in the sick/called off personal hours column. The Payroll Team will apply any applicable sick time.

  • If you submit your time electronically, please submit the paper timecard in addition to your electronic timekeeping. (The paper timecard does not need to be signed by your manager.)

  • If you are only submitting a paper timecard, the card must be signed by a manager when including sick time.

Please remember that sick time can only be used to bring you up to your contracted hours each week. For more information, you can review our full sick leave policy here: http://trst.ly/sick-policy.
