Firstly, we are sending you our well wishes and hope you are feeling better soon!

If you are sick or have injured yourself outside of work, please let your manager, charge nurse, or unit director know as soon as possible.

If you have notified your facility and you do not need any additional support, no need to notify your Care Team.

If you miss all or part of a shift due to being sick, you can log that time on the attached paper timecard. Just log the time you miss, and be sure to write the total hours and “sick” in the sick/called off personal hours column. The Payroll team will apply any applicable sick time.

  • If you submit your time electronically, this paper timecard will be submitted in addition to your electronic timekeeping and the paper does NOT need to be signed by your manager.

  • If you are only submitting a paper timecard, you can add your sick time to your paper timecard, but it DOES need to be signed by a manager.

Keep in mind that sick time can only be used to bring you up to the contracted amount of hours each week. Check out this link for more info on the sick leave policy:http://trst.ly/sick-policy.
