Can I request a rate increase?

Rates for travelers can vary based on several factors. It's common for clinicians working on the same unit or assignment to have differences in pay — and this has become even more common in today’s market.

Factors that influence facility-offered rates include start date, crisis pay adjustments, and overall staffing needs.

At Trusted, we are committed to paying you the highest rate possible from the start of your contract. As part of this commitment, we are not able to increase pay mid-contract unless the facility itself raises the rate. Additionally, our partnered facilities have specifically requested that Trusted not ask for rate increases once a contract is signed. To maintain strong relationships with our partners, we honor that request.

If a facility does offer an increase during your assignment, rest assured — we will always pass that along to you!

There are a few specific situations where Trusted can discuss rate adjustments:

  • There has been a material change to your duties or responsibilities (e.g., your unit is converted to a COVID unit, or you are permanently reassigned to another unit).

  • You are looking to negotiate the terms of an extension.

If either of these applies to you, please reach out to your Care Team for further assistance.
