Can I request a rate increase?

Rates often vary for travel nurses depending on several factors. It is common for nurses working on the same units or assignments to have variance in pay, and this situation is more common now than ever before. Factors that can influence rates offered by the facility include start date, crisis rates, and overall need.

Since no one at Trusted receives commission, we have the luxury of paying you the most money possible every time! Because of our commitment to paying the highest rate we can from the start of your contract, we are not able to increase pay unless the rate is raised by the facility. With this being said, vendors we work with have requested that Trusted refrain from asking for rate increases mid-contract. In order to maintain positive relationships with our partners, we aren't able to negotiate rates once a contract has been signed.

If a facility does reach out to offer an increase in your pay, we will always pass that along to you!

There are certain situations where Trusted is able to reach out about a pay increase. If either of the following situations apply to you, please reach out to your Care Team for further assistance:

  • There's been a material change in your duties or responsibilities (i.e. your unit being converted to a COVID unit, or you have been permanently moved to another unit.)

  • You'd like to negotiate an extension.

In all other instances, rates cannot be altered once a contract has been signed.
