You may use sick leave during a week that includes a holiday. While documentation is not required when you submit your weekly timecard, we may request verification in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
If documentation is requested, it must be submitted prior to payment for any shifts covered by sick leave.
Acceptable documentation should include your name and the specific date(s) of your absence or scheduled appointment.
Examples of valid documentation include:
A note from your healthcare provider
Telehealth or in-person appointment confirmation
Urgent care visit summary or receipt
Positive COVID-19 test result (PCR or at-home)
Additional forms of documentation may also be accepted, provided they clearly indicate your name, the date(s) of absence, and relevant medical information.
