You are eligible to submit any hours that you have worked beginning on day one of your assignment through the last day of your contract.
You can submit the time you spend in mandatory staff meetings as hours worked. If these are mandatory for you to attend, you will be paid for them at your regular rate. Overtime or double time will not apply.
However, certifications including, but not limited to, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS are mandatory for employment based on your role/specialty as a licensed nurse or healthcare professional. Because of this, the time spent in these classes are not considered hours worked and cannot be submitted.
β To ensure accurate and timely processing of your submitted timecard, your hours and the hour types need to be clearly documented on your timecard. This means that if your facility uses an electronic timekeeping system that doesn't capture these hours, you will need to submit a signed supplemental paper timecard in addition to the documentation of your electronic timecard.
