The Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) allows nurses who legally reside in a participating compact state to practice in any other compact state without needing to obtain additional state licenses.

In other words, if you meet the compact requirements, you can practice across multiple states with a single multistate license!

To be eligible to work in a compact state, you must have:

  • Proof of legal residence in a compact state

  • A current, active nursing license issued by that state
