Can I use a skills checklist that I have already completed elsewhere?
Yes! You can use a previously completed Skills Checklist as long as it meets the following requirements:
β Assessment Type
Make sure itβs a Skills Checklist, not a Competency Exam.
A Skills Checklist is an untimed, self-evaluation of your frequency and proficiency in specific tasks.
It is scored from 0.0 to 4.0.
A Competency Exam is a timed, scored test with a percentage result (0β100%) and cannot be used in place of a Skills Checklist.
β³ Timeframe
Your Skills Checklist must have been completed within the last 12 months.
If your checklist will expire soon, we recommend completing a new one now to avoid delays in future applications.
π©Ί Role or Specialty Match
The checklist must be relevant to your specialty (for nurses) or role (for allied health professionals).
Example: A pediatric ER RN should complete both the Emergency Room and Pediatrics Skills Checklists.
π Format
You must upload a PDF of the expanded version of your completed Skills Checklist.
β Your uploaded assessment will be reviewed by your Care Team. To prevent delays in your applications, it is important your skills checklist meets all of the requirements. To view an example of a completed skills checklist, scroll to the bottom of this article to view the attached PDF.
