What is an employment gap and why is it important?

An employment gap will automatically appear on your work experience if there is a gap between two employment entries or a gap from when you completed your degree to your first employment entry.

Oftentimes, employers will question why there are gaps longer than 30 days between employment or after graduation. At Trusted, we'd like to capture this in your profile (aka résumé) to prevent any delays in your application and hiring process.

How do I resolve my employment gap?

First things first, make sure you're in your Trusted profile and navigate to your work experience.

You'll see a notification where the employment gap is flagged. Click Add Reason to resolve the employment gap.

Use the drop down menu to select the reason for the time off. Enter in the location in which you were during the time off.

When you're done, click Save to save your changes. Once it is complete, it should look something like this!
